20th CIPM Lagos Branch Conference Held

The 20th Annual Lagos State Branch Conference of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), themed “Accelerate: Repositioning for Impact and Value,” unfolded at the prestigious MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos State, spanning from the 2nd to the 5th of May in 2023.

This significant event commenced on Wednesday, the 3rd of May, 2023, with an inaugural address by the 20th President and Chairman of the Governing Council, Mr. Olusegun Mojeed, FCIPM. The President emphasized the conference’s theme, highlighting the importance of adding value and meeting expectations in the field of Human Resource Management.

The 20th Annual Lagos State Branch Conference boasted an impressive turnout, with 345 delegates in attendance. This diverse group comprised 300 in-person attendees and 45 virtual participants, representing a wide spectrum of organizations from both the public and private sectors.

Throughout the conference, a distinguished lineup of speakers, including business leaders, thought leaders, and subject matter experts, graced the stage, sharing their insights and expertise. Seven thought-provoking plenary sessions covered topics such as

The conference’s agenda also featured a Special CEO/C-Suite session, which facilitated discussions on “Navigating the Executive Leadership Turf: Opportunities and Challenges.” Topics included mental health, well-being, and resilience, highlighting the importance of these factors in the corporate world.
