The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Ikeja Chapter, organized a day summit to mark World Youth Skills Day. The event which was held at Omole Senior Grammar School, Omole, on July 21st, 2023, had speakers shed light on the roles of youth in nation-building as regards skills development.
This year’s World Youth Skills Day theme, “Skilling Teachers, Trainers, and Youth for a Transformative Future” highlighted the essential role that teachers, trainers, and other educators play in providing skills for youth to transition to the labour market and to actively engage in their communities and societies.
Mrs. Kemi Shonubi from TVC Communications highlighted the need for young students to set goals for the future and make good use of their time and skills.
The second speaker, Mrs. Hannah Agunkejoye spoke on how young students can build confidence skills to achieve greater achievements in life. She advised the students not to give room for indolence and bad influences.
The Chapter appreciated TVC Communications, Flourish Marketing and Communications Agency Limited, and BIC World for supporting the program.
The Chapter chairman, Mr. Elvis Obaseki, MCIPM, and the Branch chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Anigbata, MCIPM, were also present to grace the occasion and addressed the students.
